U of I Grad Student Joins Inaugural Team of Fellows at CORE Institute
University of Idaho graduate student Zhe Wang has been accepted into the Convergence Research (CORE) Institute Fellowship in the San Diego Supercomputer Center at the University of California San Diego. The CORE Institute, funded by the NSF Convergence Accelerator, is designed to catalyze an impact network of researchers, practitioners, and industry professionals committed to collaboratively engaging in convergence research that is driven by a specific and compelling societal problem and requires deep integration across disciplines and sectors. The institute’s theme for the 2023 is “Tackling Climate-Induced Challenges with AI”. Wang is part of the inaugural team of CORE Fellows who will convert ideas and technologies into practice and design AI solutions for climate change adaptation, resilience, and mitigation.
